Karen North has enjoyed bringing music into the lives of children and adults for over 35 years in her work as an educator and performer. With a Master of Music Degree (University of New South Wales), a B.A. Honours Music Degree (University of Sydney) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Sydney Teachers College), Karen’s career has encompassed choral/orchestral conducting, class music teaching and flute teaching. Karen was Director of Music at Sydney Grammar (Edgecliff) School and has also worked in government schools at both primary and secondary level. Karen is currently teaching flute to students aged 6 years to adult.
